SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police arrested a male suspect who was uploading and storing child pornography through the internet, according to police.

In the month of September the SFPD Internet Crimes Against Children unit was made aware of this case. After investigation, police identified 20-year-old University of San Francisco nursing student Sam Kerfoot as the key suspect.

According to police, Kerfoot cooperated with investigators and was finally arrested on November 3rd. Police issued a search warrant and with the help of the USF Department of Public Safety they were able to locate several media devices holding evidence of child pornography in his dorm room.

Police discovered that Kerfoot was in possession of hundreds of child pornography images and videos, many of which involved children under the age of three-years-old.

Kerfoot was booked in the San Francisco County Jail for numerous charges including possession, distribution and production of child pornography images. Kerfoot was also booked for sending harmful matter to seduce a minor, and possession of over 600 child pornography images.
