SUISUN CITY (BCN) — Police arrested a 21-year-old man Monday in Suisun City after officers found him in possession of a loaded gun that was not registered to him, according to police.

At 10:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress at the Cottonwood Apartments in the 200 block of Railroad Avenue, police said.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a group of people at the scene. An officer then recognized one of the group members as Suisun City resident Christopher Johnson, a suspect accused of brandishing a firearm during an incident at a 7-11 at 115 Sunset Ave. earlier in the day, according to police.

The officer then discovered Johnson was in possession of a 9mm semi-automitc pistol with a high capacity magazine.

The firearm matched the description of the one used during the incident at 7-11. A records check also revealed the pistol was not registered to Johnson.

The officer also found Johnson to be in possession of marijuana, police said.

Officers arrested Johnson on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm not registered to him and receiving a high capacity magazine. He was booked into the Solano County Jail, according to police.
