GILROY, Calif. (KRON) — Police in Gilroy are on the hunt for a suspect with a firearm that fled after the police approached the scene.
According to police, 41-year-old Trinidad Zamaripa is wanted for felony domestic violence charges and an outstanding domestic violence arrest warrant.
Police responded to the 9000 block of Rancho Hills Drive around noon for a domestic violence incident involving a firearm.
Upon arrival the police directed all personnel out of the residence. Police were able to direct one victim and another occupant out of the residence but Zamaripa did not cooperate, according to police.
Zamaripa fled the scene through the backside of the residence.
The Gilroy police along with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s department conducted a search within the surrounding area, but Zamaripa could not be located.
Police said there is no immediate threat at this time, and anyone with information on Zamaripa to call the police department at 408-846-0350.
