LAS VEGAS (KRON) – An armed man allegedly tried to rob Pokémon Go players before a shootout that left him and one player injured in Las Vegas.

On Monday, 18-year-old Elvic Campos, demanded the possessions of six people as they were playing the popular Pokemon Go game, which sends players to physical located to “catch” virtual Pokemon characters.

Campos was shot as he was demanding the players at a park east of downtown.

The two sides exchanged fire after a player, who has a concealed weapons permit, drew his own gun.

Campos was taken to jail after being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound to the back. He is now facing charges of conspiracy, robbery, battery and assault with a deadly weapon.

A juvenile that was with Campos at the time is also facing charges.
