PLEASANTON (BCN) — A 74-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease is missing from Pleasanton this morning, police said.

Leo Luna has been missing since 9 p.m. Wednesday from his home in the area of Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue.

Sgt. Pat Walsh said Luna is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 185 pounds and is bald. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and blue pajama bottoms.

He may have put other clothes on before he left home, Walsh said. Luna wears a ring on each pinky finger. His Alzheimer’s has progressed such that he may not remember where he is, Walsh said.

Luna frequents the Safeway at 1701 Santa Rita Road, a gym near Santa Rita Road and Rosewood Drive and a Lucky supermarket at 6155 West Las Positas Blvd. at the Hopyard Road intersection, according to Walsh.

Luna is driving a brown 2009 four-door Honda CRV with license plate No. 6GZB348, according to police.
