PLEASANT HILL (KRON) — Police say that a Pleasant Hill woman who walked into her own home burglary was able to help authorities find and eventually arrest the intruder.
According to police, the woman walked in to her home on Tuesday, along with her two kids, to find a strange man in her house. The man escaped, but the woman was able to give authorities a detailed description of the man and his vehicle. Once police located the vehicle, the man parked and ran out of his vehicle, but authorities caught him. Police say the man is 20-year-old Kardell Smith from Antioch. According to police, he was arrested and booked to the Martinez Detention Facility.
A search warrant was issued and authorities located stolen property from a different resident of Pleasant Hill who had a home burglary occur on Feb. 22.
