PITTSBURG (KRON) — A Pittsburg man is accused of dragging an Antioch police officer 20 feet with a car when the suspect, with an outstanding warrant, tried to flee late Monday night, according to police.
Police have identified the suspect as 44-year-old Pittsburg resident Alfredo Ardanas. He was eventually arrested after a vehicle pursuit through Antioch, police said on Tuesday.
Officers initially responded at 11:48 p.m. to Office Depot at 5885 Lone Tree Way based on reports of a suspicious vehicle. They found Ardanas, who had warrant out for his arrest, in a parked vehicle, police said.
When officers tried to take him into custody, Ardanas allegedly drove in reverse suddenly, dragging an officer around 20 feet with the vehicle, police said. The officer suffered injuries considered minor.Police said
