SAN JOSE (KRON)— A big pile of trash was burning early Monday morning outside of an San Jose recycling facility, according to fire officials.

The fire was reported at the Valley Recycling on the 1600 block of S. Seventh Street just after 4 a.m., San Jose Fire Capt. Christopher Salcido said.

Firefighters had to move past the gates and locks in order to put out the flames at the back of the building, Salcido said.

Wood pellets and debris from construction demolition were found inside the fire, he said.

The fire reached one-alarm and was put out at 5:25 a.m.

No one was injured.

The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
