SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — We are now less than 24 hours away from Kate Steinle’s funeral.
KRON 4 talked with Steinle’s family and friends. Family members said their focus is on Thursday’s funeral. It is about remembering Kate. Past friends of Kate said this has been a very difficult time.
Kate Steinle was killed last week.. In that week, undocumented immigrant Francisco Sanchez has been charged with her murder, sparking an immigration debate nationwide. As for Steinle’s past friends, they have been left to try and make sense of it all.
“I don’t think people really realize how small San Francisco really is, the type of community it is,” Sam Landrum said. “There is a lot of people who knew Kate and who cared about Kate.”
