SANTA CRUZ (KRON) — On March 25,2016, Officers from the Santa Cruz County assisted a dispatched call of possible gang activity in Winkle Park, located at 3201 Winkle Avenue in Soquel, California. Sheriff’s Deputies contacted a group in the park with open containers of alcohol, according to police officials Monday.
One female in the group contacted was on probation with an active search clause for alcohol. A vehicle driven by the female was searched, and a loaded Ruger 9mm semi-automatic pistol was located in the car.
Erik Arenal-Lopez was arrested for the charges listed above, including the gun charge. Javier Diaz was arrested for obstructing, delaying, or resisting a peace officer. Eber Delarosa was arrested for obstructing delaying or resisting a peace officer and public intoxication.
Erik Avenal-Lopez, Javier Diaz and Eber Delarosa were all booked into the County Jail for the charges listed above, according to officer Greg Lansdowne.
