REGIONAL (KRON) — The FBI is asking for help identifying a man who may have robbed two and possibly more banks in the last 60 days in the Bay Area.
In the latest heist, the suspect robbed Provident Credit Union located at 2727 South El Camino Real in San Mateo at 9:45 a.m. on May 12. The suspect took over the bank while flashing a black revolver. The amount of money taken was no disclosed.
Federal officials also believe the same suspected man robbed the First Republic Bank located at 2001 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco April 22.
Federal authorities are describing the suspect as a skinny white or Hispanic man in his early 30s standing about 6 feet tall.
The suspect was wearing tan makeup, a dark wig that made him look like he had long hair, a fake beard and a brown jacket.
The FBI is offering a $5,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
