BENICIA (KRON) — An elderly woman crashed into a Benicia McDonald’s on Thursday afternoon, police said on Facebook.
The crash happened just after 12 p.m. at the fast-food restaurant on Second Street. When firefighters and police arrived, they said they learned an 84-year-old woman had crashed into a wall and glass windows of the dining room area.
She and her husband had just parked in a parking stall facing the building when she accidentally pushed the gas instead of the brake pedal, police said.
“This caused the vehicle to accelerate into the side of the building causing moderate damage to the structure.” police said on Facebook.
No injuries were reported.
