SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — A pharmacy was robbed of more than 22 bottles of prescription
medicine in San Francisco’s Ingleside Heights neighborhood last week, police
said.
Around 9 a.m. on March 30, the suspect entered the Walgreens
pharmacy at 3931 Alemany Blvd. and pulled out what appeared to be a small
black handgun, police said.
The suspect hopped over the counter and stole two bottles of
Promethazine, along with Oxycontin and Xanax, police said.
Then, an employee opened a locked cabinet containing prescription
drugs and the suspect took 15 to 20 bottles of Oxycontin and five to six
bottles of Morphone, according to police.
The suspect put the medications in a green Whole Foods Market
grocery bag and fled through a front door, police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect
through a video clip from the store’s surveillance system that can be viewed
