PETALUMA (BCN) — A man stole a gas-powered generator from a home improvement store in Petaluma last week, police said today.
Employees of Friedman’s Home Improvement at 429 N. McDowell Blvd. reported the theft around 6:35 p.m. Friday. They said the man loaded the generator into a shopping cart and left through a fire exit door that sounded an alarm, police said.
The theft was recorded on a store video camera, and police have released a photo of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white man between 25 and 30 years old who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, approximately 220 pounds with a dark colored mustache and beard. He was wearing a blue baseball-type cap, blue and white plaid shirt and a black undershirt, khaki-colored pants and light gray shoes, police said.
