PETALUMA (KRON) — The Petaluma Police Department is looking for a man suspected of attempting to rob a bottle of alcohol and then getting in a physical confrontation as he fled the scene.
On Friday at 12:16 p.m., a suspect selected a bottle of alcohol from a display shelf at Grocery Outlet located at 80 East Washington Street in Petaluma.
The suspect then concealed the alcohol in his jacket and attempted to leave the store without paying for the bottle of alochol.
The store manager confronted the suspect and asked him to stop and return the item.
The suspect attempted to push past the manager and a physical confrontation ensued between the two.
The manager was able to obtain the merchandise back and the suspect fled the area before police could arrive.
The suspect is described as a white adult male approximately 30-years-old standing 5’11” wearing blue jeans, tan pants, black hoodie, and black shoes.
