A woman has been arrested in Petaluma after allegedly trying to sell narcotics in a parking lot, then leading police on a chase in a stolen car on Saturday evening, according to authorities.
Around 6:46 p.m. police received a report on the woman in a reportedly stolen newer white Jeep Cherokee in the East Washington Square parking lot.
The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Khadijaf Saadani from Santa Rosa.
After arriving, police confirmed that the car had been stolen from Tracy.
Police say Saadani drove onto a northbound Highway 101 ramp when a police chase began. Saadani reached up to 80-miles-per-hour and drove in and out of traffic.
Just before Mendocino Avenue, Saadani was forced to stop due to heavy traffic. Police conducted a high-risk stop but Saadani refused to get out of the car.
This is when officers approached the car and took Saadani in custody. Police say she had three outstanding warrants out for her arrest.
Police say she has been booking into Sonoma County Jail for reckless evasion, vehicle theft, possession of a stolen car, resisting arrest and warrants.
Saadani’s bail is set for $40,000.
