SAN MATEO COUNTY (KRON)– At 12:53 p.m today, someone was struck by southbound train #802 at the Atherton Caltrain Station. All of the trains in that area stopped. According to Tasha Bartholomew, the Acting Public Information Officer, a SamTrans bus bridge is being implemented to help accommodate the 1,200 passengers that are on board. The bus bridge will be at Menlo Park, Atherton, Redwood City and Palo Alto. In Redwood City, train #430 has been terminated and is turning north for local service. In Palo Alto, train #433 will be terminated and head south for local service. This is the 11th Caltrain death for 2015.
