OAKLEY (KRON) — A person who was found dead inside a vehicle this morning in Oakley may have suffered from a pre-existing medical condition, Contra Costa County sheriff’s officials said.

Oakley Police responded to a car blocking the driveway of a fire station on O’Hara Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to the City of Oakley’s Facebook page.

The apparent driver of the car was dead at the scene due to a possible traumatic injury. However, it’s not clear what caused the death or where the injury occurred.

The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the suspicious incident.

People are being asked to avoid the area while investigations are going on.
