PORTOLA VALLEY (KRON) — A person died after a car fell 300 feet down the side of a cliff in Portola Valley Thursday morning, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
The crash occurred before 11 a.m. on state Highway 35, also known as Skyline Boulevard, at Old La Honda Road, CHP officials said.
Firefighters are working to extricate the body from the vehicle.
The San Mateo County coroner’s office has been called to the scene.
No further details on the accident are available at this time.
It is unclear if there were any other cars were involved in the accident.
