RICHMOND (KRON) — Officers are on the hunt for two gunmen involved in an eastbound Interstate 80 shooting on Sunday in Richmond, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The suspect vehicle, described as a minivan, opened fire into a taxi cab at around 8:30 p.m.

“After the suspect vehicle fled the scene, the taxicab pulled off the freeway to a nearby parking lot. After stopping in the parking lot, the passengers of the taxicab fled on foot while the owner of the taxicab remained on scene,” the CHP said on Facebook.

The taxi driver and two passengers did not suffer any injuries.

The CHP said the minivan had two gunmen inside.
