People Behaving Badly: Rideshare cheats at SFO

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A silver sedan stopped outside of United Terminal on the lower level at San Francisco International Airport. The driver has his flashers on waiting for a passenger.

Finally, the passenger arrives with baggage in hand, but there is a problem.

The driver said he never heard of such a rule but there is signage instructing passengers about the rules, and the driver is aware. In fact, it is even on the Uber website.

App-based transportation services like Uber, Lyft and Sidecar are permitted to drop off and pickup passengers at the airport, but with a few rules. They are not allowed to pick up passengers on the lower level, and their placards must be displayed.
