People Behaving Badly: Parking on the sidewalk in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — There has always been a shortage of parking spaces in San Francisco, and part of the issue is due to people converting their garages into living quarters.

And sometimes, it is simply because there are more cars than there are spaces.

So, some drivers look for creative ways to park, often conflicting with city ordinances, as Stanley Roberts explains.

There is a strange misconception in San Francisco that it’s totally OK to park on the sidewalk just as long as people can still get around.
