MARIN COUNTY (KRON) — KRON 4’s Stanley Roberts was on a ride-along with Officer Sandro Salvetti with the California Highway Patrol when the duo caught quite a few people behaving badly.
Officer Salvetti didn’t have to look very long before he caught people trying to master the cell phone sneak.
That’s when somebody is on their phone until they see a law enforcement officer.
Since the officer has to see the violation personally, it’s always a game of hide and seek. Sometimes the driver wins, and sometimes law enforcement wins.
One driver the two found said that she was trying to connect her phone to her new bluetooth device.
Others came right out and admitted that they had been caught behaving badly.
