SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — All bicyclists in the Bay Area are required to follow state law when it comes to having the required equipment.
And failure to do so can result in fines if caught. But what if you own hundreds of bikes and rent them to, let’s say, tourists. Do the same laws apply?
Well, the SFMTA says yes, but Stanley Roberts found some bike rental companies bending the rules, but are they putting riders at risk?
