ANTIOCH (KRON) — A woman suffered major injuries after she was struck by a car in Antioch late Monday night.
The collision happened on the 1300 block of Sycamore Drive, according to police.
A preliminary investigation found that the 42-year-old victim may have been riding a scooter at the time of the accident, and was possibly in the opposing traffic lane when she was struck.
She was taken to John Muir Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle is a 57-year-old Antioch resident who stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Alcohol or drugs does not appear to be involved in this incident.
