DICKSON, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered Child Alert for a Dickson 4-year-old missing since early April.
The TBI reported Kalynn Turnbow was last seen on April 4 with her father at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she received treatment for a broken leg.
On Sunday morning, Kalynn’s grandmother told News 2 that she thinks Kalynn is still with her dad, 44-year-old Jason Bradford.
“Well, I want Kalynn Grace to be brought home safely,” said Donna Bridges, Kalynn’s grandmother. “She’s been through so much with losing her mother. My biggest fear is that when she runs out of her medicine and runs out of the supplies she needs, then what will he do?”
In an interview that Bradford did with News 2 in December 2017, he said his daughter was having a difficult time since losing her mom in a car accident just before Thanksgiving.
“She asks about her every day and wishes she could see her, Bradford said. “It’s just, it’s just really hard.”
Kalynn was paralyzed from the center of her stomach down in the crash.
Jason Bradford is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 198 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Kalynn is 3 feet 5 inches tall and about 30 pounds. She is paralyzed and requires assistance.
When asked for additional details on the investigation, Dickson County Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe referred News 2 to Children’s Services (DCS).
A spokesman for DCS told News 2 the department is aware of the situation, they’re concerned for the girl and are hoping she is found safe.
DCS is working alongside law enforcement in this matter, but couldn’t offer more details because of confidentiality.
