Palo Alto ranks No. 5 as most educated city in U.S.

KRON—-A new study ranks Palo Alto as the fifth most educated city in America.

The study was conducted by NerdWallet.com, which is a financial advising company.

NerdWallet studied data from the Census Bureau on education levels of people over the age of 25 in more than 17,000 places.

It found that 51 percent of Palo Alto residents have a master’s degree and 41 percent have a doctorate.

NerdWallet says discovered most highly educated people migrate to the Boston area. More than 35 colleges and universities are located in Boston.

The place that was ranked the most educated in the country was Bethesda, Maryland.
