PALO ALTO (KRON) — Police are investigating the death of an elderly Palo Alto man, who was hit struck by a vehicle was crossing an intersection Saturday morning.
According to the Palo Alto police, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Embarcadero Road where they discovered a man in his eighties unconscious and with major injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said, the driver, an East Palo Alto man in his 20’s cooperated with the police during the investigation.
According to the police, the pedestrian had attempted to cross the street when he was struck by the the vehicle, which was traveling Eastbound.
The driver has not been arrested or cited at this time, and police believe drugs nor alcohol played a part in this accident.
Police have conducted an investigation to find the exact cause of the collision.
