ALAMEDA COUNTY (BCN) — A multi-vehicle crash that left a delivery truck on its side is blocking state Highway 84 east of Sunol Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 2:36 p.m. east of Interstate Highway 680, CHP officials said. A Sig alert has been issued.

According to the Golden Gate Division Transportation Management Center, five vehicles were involved in the crash and there’s one minor injury.

The delivery truck collided head-on with a sedan. Both vehicles overturned, and other cars careened into bushes off the highway.

Both lanes of traffic are closed while emergency crews work on clearing the highway. No word on when the lanes might open.
