LAKE COUNTY (KRON)— Lake County authorities found over 23,000 mature marijuana plants coming from two separate grow sites in an area close to Middletown on Monday.
Narcotics detectives conducted several routine investigations in Lake County. The goal was to find and identify illegal marijuana operations.
During the course of their investigation, detectives found two large commercial grow sites. The operations were in Butts Canyon and Dry Creek.
The marijuana site in Dry Creek had 11,739 mature marijuana plants. Detectives found fertilizer, pesticides and ammunition as well.
The Butts Canyon marijuana site had 11,547 plants.
No suspects have been arrested.
