Welcome to the world, little osprey!

The Golden Gate Audubon Society announced Monday that Rosie the osprey, who has been featured with her mate Richmond on a live-stream camera at SFBayOspreys.org, gave birth to their first egg of the nesting season over the weekend.

Officials said Rosie laid the egg just after 4 p.m.

Rosie and Richmond have been together for three seasons and has laid three eggs in the past two seasons.

Now is when the incubation period begins.

Rosie will do most of the incubation for her eggs, which officials say can last from 35 to 42 days, while Richmond will be hunting for fish.

GGAS is asking anyone watching the livestream to report fish the birds bring back or other man-made items brought to the nest.
