Aguilar’s body was recovered over the weekend in a heavily wooded area of Fremont. Police described her body as having multiple gunshot wounds.

Her friend remembered the good times on Tuesday.

“She was very friendly with everyone,” Aguilar’s friend said. “She didn’t have enemies or anything like that or she didn’t start conflicts with anybody.”

Police have not described the circumstances or given a motive for the crime. They only said that Stacey was last seen two Saturday’s ago, reported missing a week ago, with her body found over the weekend.

Stacey’s friend, who attended elementary and middle school with Aguilar, said Stacey was a mother of two who leaves many loved ones behind.

“They still can’t believe it. We kinda just want closure to it and it’s kinda hard with none of the details being said,” the friend said.

KRON did reach out to Hayward police Tuesday evening.

They said they had nothing new to add to the case, so at this point, no charges have been filed against a suspect or the person of interest.
