The family of a missing Bay Area man is making a desperate plea for help on Tuesday night.
Luis Garcia’s car was recovered three-and-a-half weeks ago at Candlestick Point and his phone was found covered in blood in Foster City.
KRON4 spoke with his wife on Tuesday night.
“It’s been almost a month,” wife Magrisel Mejia-Garcia said. “I want the police to please just help me. Please pay attention. Please do something. That’s all I want is for him to be found. That’s it.”
Mejia-Garcia, who is three months pregnant, is making a desperate plea for help.
This comes almost a month after her husband, 24-year-old Luis Garcia, went missing.
“Each day that goes by, I am scared that we won’t find him alive,” Mejia-Garcia said. “He’s nowhere to be found. His body hasn’t appeared, so I have hope that he is still alive but no call, no text.”
As to the circumstances behind Garcia’s disappearance, police haven’t said what happened.
Magrisel says he lived with his mother but told Magrisel he was headed to her house with his laundry. You can see him with that laundry in a video. He never did make it to her house.
His black SUV was found by Magrisel at Candlestick Point, a couple blocks from her house, just over 2 hours after he was supposed to arrive. His laundry was still in the car.
Luis’s phone was found a day later covered in blood on a closed-down pier in Foster City under the San Mateo Bridge.
Luis’s sister admits that her brother did have some challenges in the past. He went to jail for four years for robbery but he had been out of jail for two years and had found his way working construction on the Golden State Warriors’ new arena in San Francisco.
Magrisel is trying to stay positive with her first baby on the way but is heartbroken not knowing where her husband is.
