SAN MATEO (KRON) — One person is dead after being hit by a train Friday afternoon near the Hillsdale Caltrain Station in San Mateo.
San Mateo Couunty Transit District says the person was trespassing on the train tracks when they were struck.
The incident occurred at 3:19 p.m.
Trains in the area are now stopped while investigators are on scene.
Passengers can expect delays of about 30 minutes.
