FREMONT (KRON) — One person was killed Wednesday evening in a two-car collision in Fremont, according to police.
Police responded to the 42000 block of Boyce Road around 6:30 p.m. on reports of an injury collision.
Officer determined that the driver of the first vehicle was traveling southbound on Boyce Road at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle and ended up on the other side of the road, according to police.
The vehicle was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle that was traveling northbound, police said.
The driver of the first vehicle was transported to a local hospital where he died of injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, along with two juvenile passengers, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to police.
It does not appear that drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision, police said.
