SONOMA COUNTY (BCN) — A motorcyclist suffered moderate to major injuries this evening in a two-vehicle collision in unincorporated Sonoma County, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The collision was first reported at 5:39 p.m. on eastbound state Highway 37 a mile east of state Highway 121.
The motorcyclist rear-ended a pickup truck in stop-and-go traffic and was ejected from the bike, CHP spokesman Officer Andrew Barclay said.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Sonoma Raceway and then airlifted to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa where he is
expected to survive.
Traffic was not affected, Barclay said.
It does not appear drugs or alcohol played a part in the collision.
