HAYWARD (KRON)– According to the California Highway Patrol, a crash occurred on Interstate Highway 880 in Hayward and one person is dead.
CHP said a person jumped from the overpass of the freeway as well.
They got the call of the incident at 5:28 a.m this morning.
Southbound lanes were closed for hours and caused heavy traffic.
At 7:39 a.m lanes reopened.
No other information has been released.
