MONTE RIO (BCN) — At least one person is dead after a car accident near the Russian River in Monte Rio late Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a vehicle off the roadway and on fire near Moscow Road and Starrett Hill Drive at 10:30 p.m.
The coroner was called to scene just before 11:30 p.m., along with fire and emergency crews.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the incident.
