FRESNO, Calif. (AP) – Authorities say a train hit a car in Central California and killed one person.
KFSN reports that the crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Conejo and Peach avenues in Fresno.
California Highway Patrol and other officials are investigating.
It was not immediately known what type of train hit the vehicle or why it was on the tracks. It was also not immediately clear if there were any other injuries.
The gender, name and age of the person killed were not immediately released.
