HAWTHORNE, Calif. (AP) – Authorities in Southern California are looking for two armed men who opened fire on a barbershop, killing a man.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said Sunday a second man was wounded in the attack Saturday at a barbershop at a Hawthorne shopping center.
It says witnesses told detectives two men shot into the shop from the parking lot and then fled in a car.
The department says a 31-year-old man died at the scene. A 29-years-old man was transported to a local hospital by a friend, where he underwent surgery. He is expected to survive.
Officials have yet to determine a motive for the shooting but say it may have been gang-related.
