SUNNYVALE (KRON) — One person was arrested in a stolen vehicle early Tuesday morning in Sunnyvale following a robbery at a nearby gun store, according to the city’s Department of Public Safety.

Investigators are looking into whether the two cases are connected, officials said.

Officers received a report of a burglary happening around 4 a.m. at the U.S. Firearms store in the 500 block of South Mary Avenue, according to a public safety dispatcher.

The dispatcher said an arrest was made in the burglary. However, Capt. Jeff Hunter clarified that someone driving a stolen vehicle in the area of the burglary was arrested and that investigators haven’t confirmed whether the driver also committed the burglary.

Nothing appears to have been stolen from the gun store, Hunter said.

More information about the stolen vehicle arrest was not immediately available, he said.
