ENGLAND, AR (WCMH) – An Arkansas officer was fired a day after a video was released showing him confront a group of black men.
In the video, Officer Michael Moore tells the group, “You don’t belong in my city.”
“But we from here,” responded one of the men.
“But you understand… I know who my people are, right? Who belongs here and who doesn’t?” responded Moore.
Demarcus Bunch said he and some friends traveled back to his hometown to record a music video on July 21, KATU reported.
“When he said like… ‘you don’t belong in my city. You’re not from here.’ Like, c’mon man. England is 3,000 people. Everybody knows everybody,” said Bunch.
Instead of recording a music video, they wound up recording Officer Moore.
“We’ve got gang wars going on. We got all kinds of stuff. And I come from the big city,” Moore is heard saying in the video.
According to a training history report, Moore started his law enforcement career in Greenville, South Carolina, population 67,000. He also worked for the Simpsonville, South Carolina police department for ten months before moving to Arkansas.
Since then, has been fired by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department, and now the England Police Department.
Six hours after the video aired in a Little Rock newscast, the police chief issued a statement saying Moore had been fired.
