SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — An occupant of a vehicle driving in San Francisco’s Mission District suffered critical injuries after he was ejected during a collision early Sunday morning, according to police.
The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when the driver of a black four-door Volkswagen made an illegal maneuver on South Van Ness Avenue between 15th and 16th streets, according to police.
While the driver of the Volkswagen was illegally maneuvering another vehicle struck his car, causing the male occupant of that car to be ejected.
According to police, the victim suffered a head injury, collapsed lung and fractured thighbone. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police have not made any arrests in connection with the crash.
