OAKLEY (KRON) — Police in Oakley are asking for help finding a 19-year-old man who has been named the suspect in the murder of an Antioch teen.

Police have named Oakley resident Omar Ordaz the suspect in the shooting death of 19-year-old Miguel Angel Plascencia Jr. on Tuesday.

Just before 2 p.m., police were called to the 4400 block of Rose Avenue after getting a report of a shooting, according to an incident report written by Battalion Chief Brian Helmick of the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

When police arrived, they found Plascencia inside a car, suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was airlifted to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Oakley Police announced Wednesday that they have issued a homicide warrant for Ordaz.

Ordaz is believed to be in Oakley or Concord. He has a “paw-like” tattoo on his cheek.

Police warn that Ordaz is considered armed and dangerous and police said he should not be approached or contacted.
