OAKLAND (KRON)—An Oakland resident pleaded guilty to having child pornography in federal court Monday.
Lawrence Ham, 52, admitted he had child pornography pictures on his computer and had them printed out between July 26 to July 14 of 2015.
Ham said the photos had children engaging in sexual acts.
The images came to light when a computer repairman was trying to fix Ham’s computer and found the picture on there.
The man called the Concord Police Department and then was told to contact the Oakland Police Department.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office and the Oakland Police Department obtained a search warrant for Ham’s apartment and child pornography pictures on his computer.
Ham has been charged with one count of possessing child pornography. He is now in custody of the U.S. Marshal.
Ham’s sentencing hearing will be held on October 28.
