LAS VEGAS (KRON) — Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis is waking up in Las Vegas Thursday morning to talk with Nevada officials about relocating the team.

Davis is scheduled to meet with tourism officials at 8 a.m. to discuss the team’s possible relocation to a proposed domed stadium in Las Vegas.

Davis will talk with casino moguls and real estate agencies about the $1.3 billion stadium project.

The Raiders are set to stay in Oakland for the 2016 season after they signed a one-year lease at the Coliseum, even though their rent tripled after O.co opted out of a naming rights agreement.

Davis wants a new stadium, but Oakland officials say that’s not in the city’s budget.Stay with KRON 4 News for updates on the meeting.
