OAKLAND (BCN) — Police arrested a man with a concealed gun while investigating gunfire in East Oakland Tuesday night, police said today.
The officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 8 p.m. in the 7600 block of Arthur Street, near Arroyo Viejo Park, police said.
As they were checking the area for victims or suspects, police approached a man standing next to an open car door. As they talked to him they noticed a gun concealed under his clothes, according to police.
Officers took the loaded gun from him and arrested him on suspicion of carrying a concealed loaded firearm in public, police said. His name has not been released.
There were no reports of injuries associated with the reported gunfire.
