OAKLAND (KRON)—Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland is holding a vigil Saturday night following the deadly warehouse fire in the city.
The public vigil will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the chapel on Piedmont Ave.
“This is a devastating loss to our community and our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected,” said Marcie Russell, general manager of the Chapel of the Chimes.
The chapel is also opening its Meditation Chapel for anyone who needs a place to mourn Saturday night until 8 p.m.
It will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
