VALLEJO (KRON) — Vallejo’s Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is welcoming a new family member. A pregnant sea lion gave birth to a little girl Friday morning.
The new pup is the fourth successful offspring of 19-year-old Alani and the second child for Sgt. Nevis. Sgt. Nevis is a man sea lion renowned for having survived several shotgun blasts to his face by a fisherman before he was rescued and rehabilitated.
The pup spent her first say nursing, bleating and exploring, all the while staying close to her mother.
