A new homeless center is coming to the waterfront neighborhood of the city.
The San Francisco Port Commission unanimously approved the measure Tuesday night.
People against the navigation center say the site along the Embarcadero is not the proper place because it could attract more crime.
However, supporters say the navigation center will help get homeless people already along the Embarcadero off the streets.
